Brazilian jiu jitsu for Franconia

Franconia is a short hop southeast of the academy. If you commute through the Franconia-Springfield Metro station, the academy is a few minutes further up Franconia Road, which makes it easy to train on the way home instead of making a separate trip out.

That is how most Franconia members use it. Park once, train, go home. The classes run at times that work around a commute rather than assuming you are free at two in the afternoon.

The coaching standard is the same in every class, beginner or advanced. Fundamentals are always on the schedule, so you are never thrown into the deep end. You build real skill, real fitness, and an actual understanding of how the positions connect.

Questions from Franconia

Common questions

About 4 to 5 miles, roughly 10 to 12 minutes by car up Franconia Road into Springfield.

Plenty of members do. The academy is a few minutes from the Franconia-Springfield station, so an evening class fits into the commute rather than costing you a second trip.

Comfortable athletic clothes. A t-shirt and shorts or leggings are perfect. You can sort out a gi or rashguard once you decide to keep going.

We do, and it is completely optional. Plenty of members never compete and love training all the same. If you do want to test yourself, the coaching and the training partners are here for it.
