Brazilian jiu jitsu for Falls Church

Falls Church is a short drive north of the academy. From the Little City itself, from the Seven Corners area, or from anywhere along Leesburg Pike, the run down to Springfield is about fifteen minutes and gets easier once you are past Seven Corners.

Black Cat is welcoming by design. Beginners are the norm, not the exception, and the room is built so a first-timer can learn next to a competitor without either one feeling out of place. You go at your pace and the coaching meets you there.

The women's program is a real draw for Falls Church members. It is a dedicated class focused on practical self-defense, taught from scratch, in a room where nobody is trying to prove anything at a beginner's expense.

Manageable. Heading down through Annandale and onto Backlick Road keeps you clear of the Seven Corners interchange, which is the slow part of that trip.

Yes. We run a dedicated women's jiu jitsu class focused on practical self-defense in a welcoming room, included in the same membership.

Shy kids are often the ones who get the most out of it. Our coaches go slow and never single anyone out, and the confidence tends to follow quickly.
