Brazilian jiu jitsu for Clifton
Clifton is the quiet corner of the county, a historic town of a couple hundred people covering about a quarter square mile, surrounded by Hemlock Overlook and the parkland along Bull Run. It is a genuinely nice place to live and a thin place to find serious training.
That is why Clifton members drive east. Twenty-odd minutes gets you to a room where Adam Benayoun, a second-degree black belt and international competitor, teaches the classes himself rather than lending his name to a franchise.
It is a boutique academy, not a big-box gym. Small enough that the coach knows your name and what you are working on, deep enough that there is always someone better than you to train with.
