Adult Wrestling near Alexandria, VA
Black Cat Jiu Jitsu offers adult wrestling near Alexandria at its one Springfield academy. The class welcomes adults new to wrestling, BJJ students working on standing skills and wrestlers who want more mat time.
From standing position to takedowns and control
You'll work on stance, hand fighting and tie-ups: the grips and contact used to get into position for a takedown. The class covers takedowns and finishes, plus scrambling as positions change. Technical instruction is paired with live drilling so you can practice with a partner.
For Brazilian jiu jitsu (BJJ) students, the connection continues after the takedown. Working on positional control helps you practice staying on top once the exchange reaches the ground. Read more about the wrestling program.
